What’s the difference between “exit delay” and “entry delay?”

 In Frequently Asked Questions

Exit delay is how long you have to leave the house before the system becomes armed, once you’ve sent the command to arm the system. Most of the time, this is set at 60 seconds, giving you one minute to arm the alarm, gather your things, and leave the house before the system arms itself.

Entry delay is how long you have to disarm the system once you’ve entered the house, before the siren goes off and the monitoring station is contacted. This is usually set at 30 seconds, so you have half a minute to disarm the system from the time you open a door.
Both of these times can be adjusted online.
